AN air ambulance from Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire was recently called to the Ashbourne area to help a patient.
The crew was tasked to support a land-ambulance crew in administering pain relief to a fallen horse-rider, who was then air-lifted to the Royal Derby hospital.
The air ambulance landed at the hospital helipad at around 6.30pm on Monday evening.
A spokesman for the service said: “We rely on donations from the public to enable us to carry out our lifesaving work and are always looking for volunteers to help us, whether that is through fund-raising or even getting involved in our shops.”
