Amelia Bedson has fencing nationals in mind after qualifying

ABBOTSHOLME pupil Amelia Bedson has qualified for the National Fencing Championships after coming third in the British Youth Championships qualifying round.

The Stoke-born star won a bronze medal in the qualifying event, after training very hard over the past few months with the Abbotsholme fencing team.

Olivia Owen-Sinclair, a former Abbotsholme pupil, also qualified by gaining a silver medal in the Under-18s.

Abbotsholme Fencing Team members David Craddock and Henry Chiles fenced valiantly and acquitted themselves well, but did not qualifying this time.
