ASHBOURNE Ladies were too good for Brampton Ladies as they continued their magnificent season with a 5-0 win.

The leaders established a 2-0 lead as two long-range passes from Annabel Coles found Claire Poyser, who finished with style.

Lisa Shenton added a third before half-time to make it 3-0.

In the second half Brampton started to play some decent football but Ashbourne added two more goals through Sahra Fearn and Sam Glanville to make it 5-0.

The ladies are now top of the league and are in the cup final.

ASHBOURNE missed the chance to go clear at the top of the league after dropping two points at Buxton.

Buxton led 1-0 at half-time and Ashbourne came out for the second half playing up the slope and into the wind.

They produced some good passing football but failed to apply the finishing touch.

They finally levelled with a great goal from Lisa Shenton five minutes from time.
