A 34-YEAR-OLD man who was arrested after being tracked down by sniffer dogs and a police helicopter is to appear in court.
Staffordshire police and its dog unit, along with the National Police Air Service (NPAS) Ripley, apprehended Stuart Godfrey after finding him in woodlands in Burton, on Saturday night.
After his arrest Godfrey was charged with using threatening behaviour to cause, alarm, distress or harassment.
It came after the police were called to an address in the Shobnall area at 5.30pm on May 28 following a report of a man seen acting suspiciously.
He has also been linked to a theft in Shobnall on May 19.
Godfrey, of Dig Street, Ashbourne, will appear at Burton Magistrates’ Court on July 25 and answers conditional bail to stay out of Burton.
