IT'S been a glorious few days for the people of Ashbourne with sunny and warm weather lasting throughout the weekend - but storms will be arriving today which are likely to last until Wednesday.
sudden downpours are likely to develop in some parts of the country that could bring with them torrential rain, gusting winds and even lightning and hail.
Currently, weather experts predict the Ashbourne area will miss the worst of the storms as they travel up the northern spine of the country but the heavy rain will arrive in spells over the next few days.
Early forecasts are predicting the unsettled weather and heavy downpours could last all week.
