HEAVY rain and high winds were the order of the day on Sunday, as the tail-end of Hurricane Bertha crashed in to Ashbourne.
The storm may have lost its strength by the time it reached the UK, but its low pressure brought torrential rain, followed by gusts of up to 50mph.
News Telegraph reader Peter Banks took these pictures of the town’s most notorious flooding spot, at Park Road near to the fire station.
