A NEW trail has been designed at Ilam Park to help families feed the birds.

The National Trust has created the Brillian Birds Family Trail to encourage visitors to learn more about garden birds at Ilam this month.

The trail is open to visitors each day until Sunday, February 24 from 11am until 4pm.

And, in a bid to help people find out more about winged wildlife, the National Trust has organised hands-on Feed the Birds activities for half term from Monday, February 18.

National Trust Visitor Engagement Officer, Zoё Stevens explained, “February is an ideal time to give the birds a helping hand by providing tasty treats for them in gardens. Visitors to Ilam Park will be able to have fun making fat balls and edible mobiles for their own garden birds, as well as taking the trail around the park to find clues and discover some amazing facts about birds. Both activities cost £1 each.”
