Name: Jackie Naylor
Age: I’ll let people guess
I am: very busy and loving my career.
Three things I like:
wine, chocolate and visiting London.
Three things I don’t like:
snow, dark mornings and cricket.
Born and bred:
I grew up in a little village called Bulkington near Nuneaton with three sisters.
I’m married to Steve. We have 26-year old-triplets. Adam, who is the oldest by three minutes and is the fraternal triplet, will be getting married this summer. The other two are identical twins, Carl and Ross. Darren, 21, is nearing the end of his teacher training.
I’m headteacher at Henry Prince First School and Nursery at Mayfield. I teach every day and I love seeing the look on the children’s faces when they realise they can do something they couldn’t do before. I love watching them grow not just academically, but in their confidence too.
I am best at:
I’m told I’m best at strategic thinking.
My ideal holiday:
I’ve already had it. We went to Hawaii and it was like paradise. We saw the volcano and took a helicopter trip.
Becoming a teacher. I got married and had a family after completing my degree. Then when I decided to become a teacher I did my PGCE and it was tough studying with a young family, so I was proud when I achieved that.
I don’t really know. I just have a drive to constantly do my best.
If you ruled the world:
I’d remove inequality.
I’d like to think people would remember me fondly.
