30/01/14 Coffee Break Becky Form Red Square Photography - Coffee Break

Comments (0)

Becki Castle.

Breadsall, Derby.

None, but a lovely Shar Pei called Archie.

I am:

Photographer and owner of Red Square Photography.

Three things I like:

Photography, cooking, rowing.

Three things I don’t like:

Bad manners, mushrooms, having nothing to do.

Up’ard/ Down’ard:

Not sure I qualify for either, but I believe I’m a down’ard.

Born and bred:

Family matters:

Parents live in Ilkeston, brother in Jersey with his wife and gorgeous nephew Cameron, who is one year old.

I’m lucky enough to have a job I utterly adore. Photographer and owner of Red Square Photography, I shoot lovely weddings, family portraits, events and lots of commercial work for local businesses. My style is very natural, contemporary and I’ve been told “quirky”! I love being a firm part of the local community and it’s such an honour to photograph people’s families as they grow. I certainly couldn’t run my business without my trusty friend and colleague Caroline Scott, she pretty much runs the place whilst I take photos.

I am best at:

Getting the best out of people when I take photos, being a good friend and I hope giving people happy memories to keep in the photos I give them.

My ideal holiday:

Australia or Spain.

Favourite food:

Anything Asian.

Inspired by:

Steve McCurry, Bill Granger and my parents.

If you ruled the world:

I’d make penalties much stiffer for animal cruelty and I’d make it compulsory for every family to have an annual portrait shoot.

Here lies Becki, who loved her camera and was always thinking of where the next meal was coming from!
