FIRST aid charity St John Ambulance is issuing a final call for people to put forward life saving nominations as part of its search for ‘Everyday Heroes’.
The charity wants people to put forward individuals and organisations that are making our communities a safer place to live and work and entries close at 5pm on Friday, December 13.
Chris Thornton, Regional Director for St John Ambulance in the East Midlands, says: ‘We’re on the lookout for Everyday Heroes. These are ordinary people who have done extraordinary things, by putting first aid into practise when it matters most or helping more people learn this vital skill.
“Everyone has the ability to save a life and we want to celebrate those who are doing just that; in their communities, workplaces, and often their own homes.
Awards finalists will be invited to a black-tie ceremony in March to recognise their actions.
