A FESTIVE day out for families at a theme park near Ashbourne promises snow every day, along with a range of activities for all to enjoy.

Yuletide visitors to Gulliver’s, the family-run Matlock Bath park will find a multitude of Christmas treats, including festive shows, Santa’s winter wonderland lined with talking trees, and a free gift for every child.

Children can visit the park’s special Elf School where they will be challenged to complete some elfish tasks to be in with a chance of being declared an honorary elf.

Once they enter Elf School children will be asked to help sort out naughty and nice letters, learn the skills required to be a good elf and have their faces painted to look totally authentic.

There will then be a frantic parcel stacking session with a helper, but they will need to watch out for the naughty elf trying to disrupt their task, before finally being invited to take the ‘Elf Oath’ to fully qualify as an honorary member of the elf gang.

Selected rides, attractions and shows will be open throughout the theme park, all lit as darkness falls to ensure little ones have a magical experience.

There are four different packages available and prices range from £15.95 to £28.95.
