Name: Barry Pearson.

Age:

67.

Lives:

Ashbourne.

Married:

A couple of times but no longer, both lovely ladies.

Children:

One son and two daughters.

I am:

Thoroughly enjoying life and doing some consultancy work with the professions.

Three things I like:

Good friends, travel and the sun.

Three things I don’t like:

Bad manners, the planning system and listening to people talk about fishing.

Up’ard/ Down’ard:

In the words of Frank Gould and Mick Tunnicliffe - “‘yer not from round ‘ere’”.

Born and bred:

Thorpe Bay, Essex, educated in Tinidad W.I. and Cambridgeshire.

Family matters:

It certainly does. I am intensely proud of my children and grandchildren.

Work:

Retired, but some consultancy work for two great professional firms.

I am best at:

Relaxing in the sun.

My ideal holiday:

The Caribbean, beach, sun and reliving my youth.

Favourite food:

Almost anything beautifully cooked but no garlic.

Inspired by:

My late father who worked hard but lived life to the full.

If you ruled the world:

The one thing I would change is the European Union, which absorbs money like a sponge and its accounts have not been signed off by the auditors for 19 years.

Epitaph:

Too soon!
