TODAY

Ashbourne Camera Club will meet for their annual Ash Wednesday meal.

Indoor bowls is played every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm at Hulland Ward and District Millennium Village Hall.

Life drawing sessions are at St John’s Church weekly from 10am until 12.30pm. Admission is £10 including refreshments.

Prize bingo is weekly at Swinscoe Village Hall from 8pm to 10pm and everyone is welcome.

A watercolour class with Martin Sloman is at Boylestone Village Hall from 6.45pm to 8.45pm, admission is £8 including refreshments.

Alstonefield parent and toddler group is at the village hall from 9.30am until 11.30am each week.

Hulland Hippos baby and toddler group is weekly at Hulland Millennium Hall from 10am until 11.30am. Family admission £2.

The final day of a Shrovetide exhibition is at Ashbourne Town Hall from 10am until 1pm today. Admission £1.

Ashbourne Town Band practise at St John’s Church Hall from 8pm to 9.30pm.

Ashbourne Tai Chi Group for over 50s or disabled adults is at Ashbourne Leisure Centre at 10.30am.

TOMORROW

A weekly story session for pre-school children begins at 10am at Ashbourne Library.

Edward Bear’s Praise and Play for babies, toddlers and parents, is at St Oswald’s Church from 10am weekly.

Two sessions Little Hands music and messy play are at 10am and 11am at Mayfield Recreation Association pavilion each week.

Bingo is weekly at Hulland Ward and District Millennium Hall from 7.45pm, eyes down at 8pm. Parking and refreshments are free and pay for what you play.

Bowls is weekly at Hognaston Village Hall from 7pm.

Chameleon mixed voice choir rehearse at the Royal Oak, Hanging Bridge from 7.30pm weekly.

Modern Buddhism meditation classes are at All Saint’s Community Hall from 7.30pm until 9pm. Admission £5.

FRIDAY

The Blacksmiths Arms, Alton, hosts an open mic night each week from 9pm.

St Oswald’s Church choir rehearses weekly at the church from 7.30pm.

St Oswald’s Infant School tots group is from 9am to 11am in term time. Admission £1.50 for children and 50p for babies.

Ashbourne School of Dance freestyle and streetdance lessons are weekly on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Big Lix perform at The George and Dragon in Market Place, Ashbourne from 9pm.

Ashbourne Town Band learners are at Bankcroft from 7pm to 8pm.

Ellastone Tots is from 9.30am to 11.30am at Ellastone Village Hall.

A monthly dance night is at Hulland Millennium Hall from 7.30pm. Admission £3.

SATURDAY

Live music and good company is at the Empire Club, Ashbourne with social dances from 8pm to 11pm each week.

A car boot is weekly at Uttoxeter Racecourse from 9am until 2pm.

Derbyshire Hardy Plant Society meets at Shirland Village Hall from 2pm for a talk by Jill and Alun Whitehead.

Peak Animal Welfare Society celebrate their first anniversary at Hulland Millennium Hall from 1pm to 4pm.

A quiet Iona Service is at St Oswald’s Church at 5pm.

SUNDAY

A Traidcraft stall is at St Oswald’s Church Hall each week.

A car boot sale is weekly at The Ostrich Inn, Longford from 8am until noon.

Ashbourne Town Band rehearse from 7pm to 8.30pm at St John’s Church Hall.

Silicone Taxis perform at the Sunday Club at the Dog and Partridge, Marchington.

MONDAY

St Oswald’s Church choir junior section practise weekly at the church from 6.30pm.

A Music Munchkin class with Sue Pedley is at Ashbourne Adult Education Centre each week from 10.15am.

Praise and Play is at Ashbourne Methodist Church’s Century Hall each week for pre-school youngsters and parents from 2pm to 3.15pm.

Ashbourne Embroiderer’s Guild meet at St John’s Church Hall at 7.30pm.

TUESDAY

Cafe Connect, offering support and advice for people who have been bereaved is held weekly at The Cornerstone in Church Street, Ashbourne from 2pm to 4pm.

Afternoon Business Link drop-in sessions are weekly at Ashbourne Library.

Young Ashbourne Singers rehearse weekly from 6pm to 7pm at Ashbourne Methodist Church.

A mum and toddler group is at FitzHerbert Primary School, Fenny Bentley from 1.30pm until 3.15pm.

Little Hands music and messy play is at Mayfield Recreation Association pavilion from 10am until 11am.

Pianist Libor Novacek will perform at Abbotsholme School from 8pm as part of the Abbotsholme Arts Society programme.
