DARLEY Moor circuit hosted a women-only road race coaching session organised by Elisa McDonagh from Matlock Cycling Club.

More than 40 women took part in the morning and afternoon sessions.

It was aimed at beginner and novice level riders providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to start racing.

The session was delivered by Huw Williams, a British Cycling level three road and time trail coach.

The four-hour session was on a dedicated, traffic-free circuit where participants learnt the techniques, skills, tactics and group riding etiquette needed to race.

This event was supported by Cicla, which specialises in boutique female cycle clothing and gave the rider's chance to see an array of exclusive top brand products from CAPO Cycling Apparel, FIZIK and MALOJA.

On hand to help with the coaching and give an insight into racing were MuleBar Girl team riders Phoebe Sneddon and Diane Lee, fresh from her awesome win at the Texas Ironman 70.3.
