PRIME CATTLE - Auctioneer: Charles Hollis

More OTMs about this week, thank you, but fewer numbers in other departments.

Overall Average for the OTM – 110.83p/Kg after excluding an entry of 12 very poor quality lean Holstein Steers.

Even if these had been included into the average no other local market could compete with our average.

The situation with the average for the Clean Cattle was almost 20p/Kg more if we exclude the lean second rate Holsteins, with this taken into account the average was 181.65p/Kg.

Although the averages everywhere are depressed, this certainly being due to the Polish input, the quality cattle were, if anything, slightly dearer than the week before.

This was confirmed by a member of the Faulconbridge family from Coventry who are consistent supporters of the market.

Please note that it is important to all vendors, in all departments, that they get Farm Assured.
