PRIME CATTLE - Auctioneer: Charles Hollis

Again, good numbers through the market.

There is no market within 50 miles where OTM averages can compete with Derby and the figures do not lie. Fortunately farmers are taking notice and thank goodness they are doing so. Our average for 74 animals was 113.83, Leek was 89.55 and Market Drayton was 95.24. This equates to top side £150 per head. With respect I am pleased you are taking notice!

Our averages for Steers and Heifers, excluding Holsteins, was 180.06 and was far, far above any local markets.

Just as a matter of interest our lamb average was the highest for a 50 mile radius too.
