PEOPLE eagerly looking forward to the annual free classical concert in Derby's Darley Park will be pleased to know it is taking place on Sunday, August 31, from 6pm.
East Midlands Orchestra Sinfonia Viva will perform a programme that takes its theme from the 175th anniversary of the railway coming to Derby.
Classic FM’s Saturday lunchtime presenter, Nicholas Owen, will be introducing an expected audience of more than 30,000.
Derby city councillor Alison Martin said: “This year marks 175 years of train building in Derby and I think it’s very fitting that the Darley Park Concert will be recognising that great achievement."
People from all over Derbyshire attend the event and it has become a summer tradition.
