A CLIFTON man is getting ready to pound the pavements in London in aid of his favourite charity

Paul Siddall, 46, is running his final London Marathon this year in aid of Ashgate Hospice.

Paul works in the technical services and brand protection team at Slimming World in Alfreton and has sworn that this will be his last marathon, having previously run it with the Slimming World team in 2009 and 2010.

He said: “I wanted to do one last marathon in memory of my uncle Peter Siddall, of Stanton-in-Peak, who died in 2011 and raise some much-needed funds for Ashgate Hospice in his memory.

“I’m doing the 21 mile Grindleford Gallop in March then the 26.2 mile London Marathon on April 13 and then that’s it.”
