IT’S no secret that I am forever on the hunt for beauty products which will help slow down the ageing process.
I’ve more pots of cream than you can shake a stick at, but when I saw this little wonder being advertised on TV I just had to try it myself.
Designed to provide a quick and temporary fix to tired and sagging skin, this has to be my anti-ageing saviour.
Every time I look in the mirror I am sure another crow’s foot – sorry laughter line – appears.
To use Eyesential is quite simple – although I did have to read the instructions several times before I applied the lotion. It really isn’t a case of slathering it around the eye and then heading off to work.
First of all I would recommend a patch test before applying as Eyesential is not always suitable for sensitive skin.
If everything’s okay then it’s all systems go. Cleanse the skin thoroughly around the eye and rinse with water.
Shake the bottle vigorously and apply a little into the palm of your hand with the applicator.
Looking straight ahead (into a mirror in my case) and apply with the tip of the middle finger under the eye working from the inner eye outwards with one single stroke.
Repeat this up to three times but for the best results apply as little as possible. Avoid any facial movement for two or three minutes while the lotion dries and while it’s doing this there will be a tightening and tingling sensation but that soon disappears.
Once the lotion has dried into a transparent film, make-up can be applied, making sure that it is patted on very gently with a cosmetic sponge.
The result: my sagging eyes and crow’s feet are uplifted and the effect lasts all day – or evening, depending on when I am applying it.
Sometimes I don’t hold out much hope for some of the miracle lotions and potions, however this one did exactly what it promised. It also alleviates dark circles around the eyes and I love it.
Eyesential Under Eye Enhancer retails at £39.95 and is available from www.eternalcosmeceuticals.com
