Overton twins commit to Somerset
England one-day prospect Jamie Overton and his twin brother Craig have signed three-year contract extensions with Somerset, tying the highly-rated teenagers to the county until 2016.
Both 19-year-olds have played for England Lions, with fast bowler Jamie Overton named in the senior England squad for this summer's one-day international series against Australia, although he did not feature.
Somerset's director of cricket Dave Nosworthy said of the Devon-born duo, who graduated through the county's academy and made their debuts in 2012: "As a club we are extremely pleased to have secured these two young diamonds.
"Long-term expectation around these two is high, so it will be key now for them to just keep their feet on the ground and to get the hard yards in."
Jamie Overton added: "Signing a new three-year deal with Somerset is the cherry on top in terms of what has already happened for me this season. I look forward to a long association with the club, and to winning as much silverware along the way as possible."
