AT least 1,600 runners will be under starter's orders at a popular "mud run" this summer.
JCB will host the annual event at its world headquarters in Rocester on Saturday, July 5, and organisers say the charity event, which supports the NSPCC, is proving more popular than ever.
It is hoped the final number signing up to a challenging assault course, which last year helped to raise more than £40,000, will swell to around 2,000 before the day arrives.
Entry fee is £45. To find out more, visit www.facebook.com/thejcbmudrun.
