ALL four of Unilever's men’s deodorant brands have undergone a Compressed makeover - making them half the size but lasting just as long.

This follows the successful launch of the female Compressed range last year which has already sold more than 12 millions cans.

The move will see Sure Men, Dove Men + Care, Lynx and Vaseline Men deodorants compressed in style.

Using the latest in product development, each Compressed can will be reduced to half its original size but crucially will still contain the same level of product, meaning it will last just as long as regular sized aerosols.

Requiring 50 per cent less propellant to deliver each spray, one of the key benefits of the revolutionary new cans is a carbon footprint reduction of up to 25 per cent on average per can.

Continuing to revolutionise the deodorant aisle in 2014, the leading consumer brand will convert more than 40 per cent of its aerosol portfolio into this more sustainable format, without impacting the performance or quality of its products.

Paul O’Connor, Unilever brand manager said: “The multi award-winning compressed technology is our most sustainable product innovation in recent years.

"Following the successful launch of the female compressed cans which has already sold more than 12 million cans, we’re now in a position to extend the offering with the men’s range.

The users of Sure Men, Dove Men + Care, Lynx and Vaseline Men will now all be able to get their favourite products in a more compact can and we hope the environmental benefits, as well as the convenient small size, will be useful for our customers when on the go.”

The environmental savings take Unilever closer to its targets of halving the greenhouse gas impact of products across the lifecycle and the waste associated with the disposal of products by 2020.

This is the first major packaging reduction initiative for aerosol deodorants since they were introduced in the late 1960s with Unilever leading the industry in transforming the products to make them more sustainable.

The new 125ml versions RRP at £2.99 for Sure Men, £3.29 for Lynx (100ml), £3.19 for Dove Men and £2.49 for Vaseline.
