A MOTORCYCLIST has had to be airlifted to hospital after a smash on the A515 north of Ashbourne.
The biker suffered fractures to his legs and arms, but no life-threatening injuries, in the accident at 1.45pm yesterday near Newhaven, which involved a Honda motorbike and a Toyota Aygo. A third car was involved in the accident but no other injuries were reported.
The road was closed from 2.30pm until just after 6pm between the Newhaven Crossroads and Parsley Hay to allow a collision investigation to take place.
The motorcyclist was taken by air ambulance to Wythenshawe Hospital in Greater Manchester.
