AN ASHBOURNE property company has welcomed a new member of staff.

Kate Wadlow, a chartered surveyor, has joined Bagshaws in Church Street to become the latest member of the firm’s rural professional team.

Mrs Wadlow will be concentrating on landlord and tenant matters, in particular farm business tenancies and grazing agreements, lettings of land, buildings and rural properties.

She will also be assisting Bagshaws’ partner Nick Hansen in all aspects of rural professional work.

Mrs Wadlow brings a range of property experience, much of it gained in the public and commercial sectors, where she managed a diverse range of property including retail, office, residential and two international airports.

In tandem with her own career as a chartered surveyor, Mrs Wadlow was involved with her husband’s retail jewellery business in Ashbourne until she and her husband embarked on an adventure with sheep farming in France in 1998.

Having returned to Ashbourne, Mrs Wadlow says her new post will give her the opportunity of combining her property experience with her interest in rural matters.

Her hobbies include walking, kitchen gardening, cycling and swimming – although the small-holding, sheep and pigs had to stay in France.
