ASHBOURNE News Telegraph is saying goodbye to its longest-serving member of staff today, as advertising representative Judy Smith leaves the company after more than 18 years.

Mrs Smith said: “I will really miss working with the team, and, of course, all the lovely people I have met through this job.

“I have some fantastic memories to take away with me, one of my favourite is still the time we won the Newspaper Society Award for our Total Equestrian Feature, I’m still proud of that piece today.

“As soon as I have all the plans finalised for my next challenge I promise News Telegraph readers will be the first to know.”

Gill Conroy, Judy’s twin sister, will also be leaving the News Telegraph’s sister paper, the Uttoxeter Advertiser, today, after 15 years of service.
