A 21 mile walk is set to raise funds for the YMCA.
Burton and District Young Men’s Christian Association’s March March is a fund-raiser for the organisation.
The event will see a group of 10 young people who currently live in YMCA in the Burton area, march 21 miles through Dovedale on Thursday, March 28.
John Beardsley is a support worker at Burton YMCA. He said: “The team has been up and training at 7am, three times a week for the last couple of months.
“We think that we’ll be ready for the challenge.
“The young people taking part are fundraising for the YMCA on the basis that they wanted to put something back into the organisation that has helped them, so we are keen to gather as much sponsorship as possible.”
