ARTISTS from Ashbourne are set to feature in this month’s annual Great Peak District Fair.
The event, which is part of Peak District Artisans’ Autumn Showcase, will display work from 25 of the Peak District’s finest artists, artisans and designer-makers as it sets up in Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens Arts Centre this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday.
Last year thousands of people were attracted to one of the area’s most popular annual events enjoying a host of entertainment and locally produced fare.
Accommodating the entire arts centre, ‘Autumn Showcase’ will feature a display of work from photography, fine art and furniture to ceramics, carvings and sculptures.
PDA Chairman, Chris Farrow said: “We are delighted to once again be invited to exhibit at the fair, which is without doubt, one of Buxton’s finest annual events.
“It’s great to be a part of this event that celebrates all things local.
“We will be creating a haven where art lovers can browse in relative peace whilst chatting to the artists and makers.”
Joining the group from Ashbourne will be fine artist John Rattigan and specialist Windsor chairmaker Melvyn Tolley.
The showcase is due to run from 10am until 5pm.
