A PAIR of Ashbourne fund-raisers have amassed around £1,600 for the care of sick children.
An music event was organised by Stuart Simmonds to help his cousin, Brad Simmonds who is an in-patient at the hospital.
The event, at Hulland Village Hall, was hosted by the band Dammit Jack and entertained around 180 people.
There was also a raffle with prizes donated by Burton Albion and Derby County Football Clubs and Ashbourme businesses.
Dare-devil pensioner Barrie Wright also performed his second charity sky-dive at Langar Airfield in Nottinghamshire.
He decided to do the sky-dive, in January, to help raise money for a ventilator at Derby Children’s Hospital to help children with respiratory problems.
