A BOOK which examines the working life of one of the country’s most notable engineers is now on sale.
James Brindley’s Notebooks features transcriptions of notes made by James Brindley, and feature glimpses into the ways he left his mark on Ashbourne and the surrounding area.
Although best known for his work designing and creating the country’s canal system, the book highlights his impact on parts of Ashbourne.
Interpretations of his notes, which are from archived manuscripts, paint a picture of his involvement in Clifton Mill, among other local projects.
