A HOMELESS bull terrier has found new owners after it was spotted in the News Telegraph.
Dannii, the female bull terrier, joined Louise Bartram from Brailsford-based Just for Dogs in Ashbourne for a street collection and our article on the success of the collection, which raised more than £500, resulted in new owners coming forward to rehome Dannii.
Daniel Macqueen from the charity said: “She’s such a gentle and sweet-natured creature that the fact that she came very close indeed to being put to sleep at a dog pound doesn’t bear thinking about.
“After three months at our rescue kennels, she finally set off for her new home on Saturday.”
Recently a three-legged cat called Hamish was re-homed after being rescued by the Derby and District Branch of Cats Protection and appearing in the paper.
