Three things I like:
Living in the middle of Ashbourne, having a laugh with a crowd of good friends and playing badminton.
Three things I don’t like:
Bad grammar, people who don’t do things they said they would; walking past a tea shop and not stopping!
Born and bred:
I have a twin brother and we grew up in North Wales, but I have lived in Staffordshire and Derbyshire since 1991.
Family matters:
Carl is my cycling, sailing and DIY-loving engineer husband. We have two girls, Jess 14 and Beanie (Bernadette), 13. We also have Sooty and enormous black and white cat.
Work:
As a chartered accountant I have worked with lots of different companies over the years.I currently spend part of my week looking after the finance of some organic food businesses in the Peak District and the rest of my time running Stepping Stones Shoes in Ashbourne.
I am best at:
Scrabble.
Proudest moment:
Buying the business of Stepping Stones Shoes. I love having a shop in the centre of town and meeting new people every day.
My ideal holiday:
Staying in an ice hotel in Scandinavia watching the Northern Lights.
Favourite food:
Marmalade.
Inspired by:
People who fit a lot into their lives and who always keep cheerful.
If you ruled the world:
I’d change how far Ashbourne is from the sea
Epitaph:
She worked hard and played hard.
