A DANCE school has seen its pupils achieve a 100 per cent pass rate in more than 150 exams.
Pupils at AShbourne School of Dance took the tests, with The Association of American Dancing exam board, throughout the summer session, and were tasked with displaying their proficiency in subjects including ballet, tap, modern and acrobatics.
Pupils, who range from five-years-old to adult, all gained excellent marks of honours by scoring between 90 per cent and 95 per cent.
The highest accolade of a distinction, at 96 per cent, was gained by two pupils, Georgia Collins and Hannah Taylor in their Tap exams.
The Mayfield Road school’s principal said: “For all pupils to pass is a great achievement but also to gain the standard of these top marks shows the commitment and talent of our local dancers.”
This month four of the school’s dancers are competing in ballet and tap scholarships in Buxton, having previously auditioned against hundreds of dancers in Derby.
