The bulls sold to a top of 228p/Kg (£1561.80) from an entry of 4 bulls from G H Paddock, Stone which averaged at 222.67p/Kg (£1613.82).
Few decent heifers again very short of quality. Highlight of the day was for 2 Heifers from J A Warner, Markfield which topped the section at 240p/Kg (£1173.60) likewise in the steers E A Sessions, Dalbury Lees topped the section at 220p/Kg (£1454.20).

Holstein feeding bulls sold at £665 for Rowland Partners, Kirk Ireton.
Steers sold to £1160 for a Blue (26 months) from A Morley, Church Broughton who sold another at £995. Best of the Heifers came from a run of Blonde X from R J Smith & Son, Rugeley that sold at £790.

A smaller entry of 54 cull ewes saw a brisk trade with heavy Suffolk ewes to £118 and Texel ewes to £90 overall average £67.61.
Another excellent entry of 253 store sheep attracted a large crowd of prospective purchasers with brisk bidding for all types. A total of 130 feeding lambs saw long term lambs topping at £60 for Texels with Charollais to £57 and strong Suffolk ewe lambs to £70.50. in the breeding ewes Texel ewes attracted most interest with young ewes to £125 and £118 with Masham shearlings to £110.
A total of 19 breeding rams from one farm attracted brisk bidding to £290 Ave £255 and other Texels to £260. Suffolk X Texel to £225.
Another excellent show of £1-9 cull ewes and rams attracted brisk bidding with a pair of seven Texel ewes from one farm, all selling at £109/head with Charollais ewes to £92 overall average £58.57.
Two pens of good larger term Texel store lambs attracted very brisk bidding to £63 Average £61.5
