FIREFIGHTERS have been called to tackle a caravan fire at an Ashbourne holiday park.
Crews from Ashbourne’s retained unit in Park Road attended the blaze at Callow Top Holiday Park after they received a 999 call shortly before 8.30am on Saturday.
When they arrived they found the caravan well alight and spent 10 minutes tackling the flames.
A spokesman for Callow Top, in Sandybrook, said: “The caravan was one of our visitors and was only a small fire.
“No-one was injured but we do not yet know what caused the fire.”
Callow Top Holiday Park was hailed the 2013 regional winner of the East Midlands Holiday Park of the Year Awards.
