People living in the Mayfield, Rocester, and Ellastone areas are eligible for free energy efficiency home checks, benefit advice appointments, home fire risk check and even emergency heaters for homes where no heating is installed.
Free boiler repairs are also available to villagers who are over 60 and eligible for means tested benefits, under 60 if cold weather has a significant affect on health and under 60 with a child under the age of five.
The project is being run by East Staffordshire Borough Council in conjunction with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Orbit Housing, Warmzone and the Citizens Advice Bureau in line with the Warmer Homes, Healthier People Campaign.
The campaign is set to run for the next six weeks.
