A FORMER Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School teacher is offering classes to people wanting to learn French and German after returning to the town.
Rhona Hunt, who taught the languages at the Green Road school and in adult education, is offering the lessons, either in individuals or groups, to anyone wanting to brush up on their skills.
Mrs Hunt, from Peak View Drive, can offer lessons to anyone from beginners to experienced speakers of the two languages and can also help students prepare and practice for exams at either GCSE or A Level.
Mrs Hunt, 66, moved away from the town after leaving QEGS and moved to Scotland, returning to the town two years ago for retirement.
However, she admits retirement ‘is not really for her’ and, after carrying on her tuition while living in Scotland, is now ready to get back into local tutoring.
Lessons can be carried out in small groups or on a one-on-one basis, and locations can be agreed upon.
Businessmen and women needing to learn a language, holiday makers or even people planning to move abroad or start up a business will all be accommodated.
Mrs Hunt, who left QEGS in 1994 and taught in adult education around 40 years ago in the town, is now a member of Ashbourne and District U3A and is teaching members to speak German.
