A LIFE-saving defibrillator has been installed at Ashbourne Golf Club after a joint funding drive by club members at the British Heart Foundation.
Terry Hunt, Seniors Captain of Ashbourne Golf Club in 2012, said: “When I became seniors captain, the obvious charity to support was the BHF, after suffering a heart attack myself in December 2009.
“I am lucky to be here, so I hosted fundraising events throughout my year to part fund the defibrillator for the club, which is a great asset. Many of the staff and members have now received training and will be able to use the equipment with confidence should an emergency occur. We are pleased to have worked closely with the BHF.”
