ASHBOURNE’S MP Patrick McLoughlin is inviting his constituents to visit the Houses of Parliament.
Mr McLoughlin, also the Governent’s transport minister, has arranged for a free tour on Monday, October 28, starting at 11.45 am and lasting for around 75 minutes, led by a professional guide.
Mr McLoughlin said: “I always encourage people to visit Parliament when they can, and I hope that constituents will take advantage of this tour to see inside one of the most famous buildings in the country, and gain a greater understanding of the history and importance of Parliament to our democracy.”
The tour takes visitors into the House of Commons and the House of Lords, as well as other areas of historical interest, including rooms are not normally open to the public.
