Magazine offers support

Written byNATALIE WAKEFIELD

NEW information about services and support for disabled children and their families has been published by Derbyshire County Council.

The twice yearly Reach magazine, which contains information, advice and a comprehensive directory of services and support contacts, is out now.

Councillor Barry Lewis, cabinet member for young people, said: “We have invested significantly in services for families with disabled children in the last few years.

“We’ve created three new children’s homes providing short-breaks and full-time care for disabled children and we remain committed to upgrading and improving facilities for disabled families across Derbyshire. You can find out more information about the services we offer in the latest edition of Reach and I’d urge anyone who has a disabled child to get hold of a copy.”

Reach is available at Ashbourne Library.
