ASHBOURNE residents who suffer power cuts can now find out instantly what has happened after the town was included in a new online service.
Homes and businesses that experience outages will be highlighted on a live power cut information website.
The map, launched by energy supplier Western Power Distribution, is designed to let users know if the firm is aware of a disruption to supply.
Its customers can enter their postcode and, if there is a known power cut, will find out what time electricity is due to be restored, how many properties are affected and a phone number will be provided to speak to an operator. To find out more visit www.westernpower.co.uk
