Pavement changes ahead of works

TWO small patches of pavement adjacent to a now defunct public toilet are to be ‘stopped up’ ahead of works to double the size of Sainsbury’s Ashbourne.

Generic Online News 2Secretary of State for Transport and Ashbourne MP, Patrick McLoughlin has authorised the ‘stopping up’ of two small triangular patches of pavement either side of the King Edward Street public loo, which means those areas will no longer be designated as highway.

The re-designation of the two tiny areas of pavement, which are less than six metres by one metre in triangular shapes, has been applied for ahead of the Sainsbury’s development, which will double the size of the current store at Cooper’s Mill.
