Police want to hear your views on the force

DERBYSHIRE police are asking the people of Ashbourne to tell them how the force can improve the services it offers.

Ashbourne police stationMembers of Derbyshire police’s equality unit will host a series of online discussions throughout February to give as many people as possible the chance to have their say.

Theresa Reid, head of the unit, said: “As part of our consultation plan, we are asking any interested members of the public to have a look at our published equality information and tell us what our equality priorities should be.

“What could we do to improve our service for everyone? “If people have found it difficult to approach us in the past, or have an idea about how we could improve, we hope that they will come forward and tell us.” To take part in the discussions, log on to the virtual surgery section of the force website www.derbyshire.police.uk/ virtualsurgeries.

The sessions will take place between 6pm and 9pm on Thursday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 21 between 2pm and 5pm.
