THE owner of a craft business based in a village near Ashbourne has been showing off replies to hand-made cards she sent to the Royal family to congratulate them on the birth of the Royal baby.
Heidi Richardson, who runs The Little Paper House in Main Road, Hulland Ward, sent William and Catherine a hand-painted card, featuring a picture of a baby in a pram, when she heard news that their son, George Alexander Louis had arrived safely.
She also sent a hand-made card to Charles and Camilla, to congratulate them on becoming grand parents, which featured caricatures of the couple.
Ms Richardson, who started up her shop four years ago to turn her love of hand-making cards and gifts into a profession, received two thank you notes back, one from William and Catherine and another from Charles and Camilla, which are now on display in her shop.
She said: “I just wanted to do something to celebrate the birth. It’s an exciting time and I wanted to do something special for them because I love drawing and it was lovely to receive replies.”
