A VILLAGE school near Ashbourne is to open its doors on Wednesday to a one-day museum.
Church Broughton Primary School will be running the project between 1.30pm and 3pm and the museum will be officially opened at 1.30pm by James Bates, chair of governors.
All 100 children at the school have been working to create a museum depicting Church Broughton life past and present by producing displays including models of a maypole, the village pub and farm machinery, photographs and quizzes.
The children’s research has involved local visits and talks from local residents and some will be wearing Victorian costume.
Head teacher Margot Davison, said: “It has been wonderful to see such a buzz of activity and to see the children so motivated to carry out their own research and produce such creative displays.”
