Swap shop to raise cash for roundabouts

SWAPPING clothes in aid of charity is expected to draw scores of shoppers to Church Street on Saturday.

The second Grand Clothes Swap in aid of Lawrence's Roundabout is at 3 Church Street from 10am until 4pm and has once again been organised by a group of ladies who meet as a book club.

Swappers simply bring five unwanted items of clothing, shoes or accessories, pay £3 admission, and then swap their stuff.

Money raised from the event will go towards the Lawrence's Roundabout Well Appeal, which helps provide people with fresh water by combining water pumps with roundabouts, thereby harnessing the play-power of children to draw water from deep underground.
