FUND-RAISERS from the Derby and District branch of the MS Society are organising a 60 mile walk to celebrate the society’s 60th anniversary.
Organisers are aiming to raise £10,000 to support those affected by multiple sclerosis in the area and are looking for people that might want to take on the challenge with them.
The walk is spread over five days and will start on Wednesday, October 3 and will finish on Monday, October 7, beginning at the most northerly point of Derbyshire on Black Hill.
The route will cover part of the Pennine Way, Limestone Way and Derwent Heritage Trail to Derby.
The fifth day of walking takes in Swarkstone Bridge and finishes at Netherseal.
Walkers will be asked to commit to raising at least £75 and pay a registration fee of £50. To find out more visit www.mssociety.org.uk/mswalkderbyshire
