LONDON Classic Theatre is heading to the a stage near Ashbourne with a production of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal.
Betrayal is at Newcastle-under-Lyme’s New Vic theatre-in-the-round from Tuesday, November 12 to Saturday, November 16.
The play begins after the end of an affair, and pursues a back to its beginning.
Time is turned upside down as the play charts significant events in reverse.
Playwright, director, actor, poet and political activist, Harold Pinter was born on 10 October 1930 in East London.
He wrote 29 plays including The Birthday Party, Old Times, The Homecoming and The Caretaker. In 2005, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
London Classic Theatre, led by founder and artistic director Michael Cabot, produces drama for audiences in London and the regions.
