A NEW set of business ventures have been started in one of the area’s prettiest villages.
The picturesque village of Osmaston saw the opening of new business premises that will play host to therapy services.
Sunshine Barn, which was officially opened last week, will be home to two businesses run by Frances Weston, an experienced psychotherapist.
Brighter Futures Counselling is her private practice where she sees adults and children.
Nature and Nurture CIC will join brighter futures in the new premises and is a newly created social enterprise offering free therapy to children and young people who have experienced trauma.
Sunshine Barn offers a suite which overlooks green fields as well as a treatment room for holistic therapies. It also boasts a a large function room for business or private purposes.
The development of Sunshine Barn has been supported by a grant from LEADER in the Peak, using European funding to help promote rural business.
At the opening event, Frances explained that the therapy centre will provide a range of evidence based and innovative therapies to help people cope with emotional difficulties.
