A PET charity which helps people in and around Ashbourne care for sick animals could be in line for a £50,000 funding windfall.
PDSA, which runs its services from a hospital base in London Road in Derby, is in the running for a £50,000 boost if it receives enough support from online voters.
The charity wants to use the money to fund an initiative to help prevent pets dying from illnesses that are preventable.
Nicola Martin, head of pet health and welfare, said: “£50,000 will help us to deliver more life-saving care packages for pets including guidance on preventive treatments such as vaccinations and neutering, alongside full health ‘MOTs’ and action plans.”
