THE News Telegraph's weather maps have painted a grim picture of forthcoming weather over the weekend.
Heavy snow is currently forecast to arrive across much of the Midlands, including the Ashbourne area, during the early hours of Friday morning.
The band of wintry showers will move up through the UK through much of Friday before a second band of snow arrives overnight, spreading across the country throughout the morning and potentially lasting through much of the day.
